Riku scoffed and chuckled at the idea, seemingly skeptical.
“She is my friend,” he stated firmly, hoping to make his brother understand the importance of his bond with the blonde girl. Reita let out a sigh as he took a seat on his own bed, attempting to explain his perspective. “Why are you taking her side?” Riku retorted, displaying his irritation. Annoyed and frustrated, Reita confronted his brother in a firm tone, asking him to stop agitating Alice. It was as if he had grown accustomed to such conflicts, as he quietly played by himself in the corner of the room, seemingly unfazed by the turmoil around him.Įventually, the constant yelling and screaming between Alice and Riku became unbearable for Reita, and he had to physically drag his brother to their now shared room, as Alice adamantly refused to share hers with anyone. Oddly enough, the young child, Jack, didn't seem bothered by the incessant yelling. Meanwhile, Lavi and Alex observed the tense scene from across the room, maintaining an uneasy silence. Reita found himself constantly acting as a mediator between the two, attempting to prevent them from inflicting further harm on each other. The time they had spent working together had already revealed just how miserable it would be to spend even more time in each other's presence. Their mutual animosity towards each other was no secret, and the thought of living under the same roof was unbearable for both of them. Last time Alice and Riku faced off, it resulted in a violent confrontation that left her with a gunshot wound and Riku with a crushed leg that still hadn't fully regained its function. Following their agreement, they arranged for Riku to stay within the apartment alongside other individuals who were wanted by the authorities and Alice, who vehemently opposed the idea. After their last conversation, Riku reluctantly agreed to join forces with his brother, even though he harbored deep mistrust towards the organization F.F.A and Blackwood.
His deep thoughts were interrupted when he heard Alice's voice, yelling at his twin brother, Riku. Feeling defeated and disappointed, Reita found himself unable to do anything but accept the situation and hope that time would bring some clarity. Moreover, the yellow-eyed man wouldn't offer any updates about Kazu and the ongoing trial. Blackwood had informed the young boy that he was currently on a mission with the doctor, but refused to provide any further details about the nature of the mission or when they would return. Each day, the black-haired boy tried to send a message to Ray, but he never received a response back. A week had passed since Reita woke up from his coma.
